i've just started using the ICD system with the 16F876,
and i love it. i'll never go back to the old uv eraser
and programmer.

as far as i know, the only way to use the ICD is with
microchip's mplab. perhaps i'm wrong? microchip does
supply the schematic to the ICD adapter, so anyone
can build that, but the real issue for me is that
microchip's mplab does not run on linux, so i have to
keep a windows machine around.

does anyone know of any existing or planned
programs that will let me use the ICD to progam
devices in circuit? i'm not so interested in the
debugging functionality; just the programming
feature for now.
