Hi, PIC list !

I'm a new member of this list and first of all I want to thank all the
people working in the GNUPIC project :-)

Well, I have a problem compiling gpsim (version 0.20.7) on my 486/SuSE
Linux 6.4 system (yes, 486s still work on some boards ;-).
Here is the output of the relevant error:

******************************************************************************
Making all in gpsim

main.cc: In function `int main(...)':
main.cc:150: passing `char **' as argument 3 of `poptGetContext(const
char *, int, const char **, const poptOption *, int)' adds cv-quals

make[2]: *** [main.o] Error 1

make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/jogger/pic/gpsim-0.20.7'
make: *** [all-recursive-am] Error 2
******************************************************************************

I have all the extra libraries and tools installed.
What went wrong ?

And another question (I hope, I haven't overread this in the docs):
Is there planned (or even included) an option to generate real output
through I/O ports ?
I have a simple I/O card (32 I/O lines) and it would be great if I could
use it as a simple "In-circuit-emulator". Of course, a very comman
interface is needed to integrate as much I/O cards as possible.
(I really wonder that this simple function is not implemented in the
original mpsim program - but Microchip sure wants to sell PicMASTER
packages ;-)

Many thanks in advance and greetings,
Christoph
