distributed...

I had tested socket++ and NewsCache with g++ 2.95 and 3.0 and 3.[23] (my
development version) and on Linux it works. The many Warnings are a result
of the new options for g++ -pedantic. I had added this and other g++ Warning
option, to see, which code fragments needs enhencments. I think, not all
Warnings can be removed, but if anyone is able to help, plese submit
patches.

I don't know why the last messages is an error message. If i see it correct,
then there are "only" warnings. Try to remove -pedantic. I tested socket++
and NewsCache with on Debian Linux woody with: gcc version 2.95.4 20011002
(Debian prerelease) and gcc version 3.0.4

Both compiler versions creating a working Library and NewsCache. Socket++
and NewsCache must be compiled with the same compiler version!

Thanks for the new release, which should fix my tin problem - but now I
can't build it on my FreeBSD 4.9-STABLE machine. FreeBSD 4.9 uses gcc
2.95.4. It's possible to install and use another gcc, but this can get ugly
as gcc is a huge/slow build.

Here's where the build fails for me - let me know if I can provide any more
info. Thanks for newscache, it's a great application!

- Mike H.
