Hi,
It's me again (sorry),
I read somewhere on this mailing list that we could change the parallele
support via the BIOS to EPP.
I did that and all worked fine !!
After the make, make install then make load, the pt_drv driver loaded without
any problem and I could scan many things with Xsane.
I thought I had won the war, but it only was a little battle...
When I plugged my printer (Canon BJC4100 parallele port...), everything went
wrong.
I couldn't print anything, I lost the pt_drv driver, got the error mesage
(insmod errors can be..etc..) and could never re-installed it !
and after that...kernel panic when rebooting !!
I had to re-install all my linux configuration.
Have you an idea about that problem ?
Sorry I haven't any log about it because my pc crashed before moving one
finger..
Thanks a lot
