Hello,
I went a bit further in setting up my hp scanjet 2100C. By plugging the
usb cable after loading the module with "modprobe scanner vendor=0x03f0
product=0x0505" (thanks to Trevor Semeniuk), sane-find-scanner returns:
sane-find-scanner: found USB scanner (vendor = 0x03f0, product = 0x0505)
at device /dev/usbscanner
and scanimage -L returns:
device `plustek:/dev/usbscanner' is a Hewlett-Packard Scanjet 2100c USB
flatbed scanner
If I start xsane, the device is recognized, and I can get a nice
preview. The odd thing is that after the preview, if I try to acquire a
picture, it does not work. xsane does not react anymore and the scanner
light stays on. After a few seconds the sensor moves from a few mm and
nothing more happens. With scanimage in a console I get the same
reaction.
Does anyone have an idea? If I can acquire a preview, I should be able
to get the whole acquisition...
Thanks for the help and for the software anyway.
Eric
