It is sad. Anyone serious about USB and microcontrollers should really
only consider Cypress. They're the only company that supports low, full,
and high speed USB embedded as a simple microcontroller peripheral. Having
worked with USB I can't see why microchip has yet to really implement it
(okay, yeah they've done low speed). I'd have to say that designing a USB
core is well, harder that designing a USART, but not as hard as designing
a new CPU. I suspect they're putting more of their eggs into the new CPU
basket with the dsPic chip. (Or maybe Cypress has everything patented).
