No now there is PIC16F627 and 628, they are the new generation for 18-pin dip devices

And more:

	Now they are launching a new generation of 8 pin dip under PIC12 prefix, in Flash technology. It will have a 12 bits core because the 16 bits core would be very expansive.

	These infos I have obtained with my ditributer, here in Brazil, Aut-Comp Inc.
