I currently use PIC18C252 in my recent projects.
To develop PIC programs I code in C and asm language in MPLAB (soon with
gpsim and SDCC, I hope so...).
ic-prog is the program I'm using to download the HEX file, but because
ic-prog doesn't support PIC18 family, I've developped my own hardware (based
on a SCHAER programmer) and a specific application under Windows. The Beta
version will be quite soon available and a Linux version is developped at
this moment.
Actually I'm using PIC18C252 JW version, and I didn't know it was possible
now to get a flash version of these chips.
Could you tell me where did you get it !?
Sorry not to be able to give you more usefull information to help you.
Tell me if you find PIC18 programmer working with Linux or Windows.
