Hi,

I was also wondering the same thing.

I know that many different standard ICs are made by manufacturers for use in
hubs, switches, embedded applications, which just translate between Ethernet
and a bit stream (with some control ports). Has anyone ever connected one of
these up to a simple PIC to give it a network interface ?

I suspect someone must have or someone should :-)

Cheers
Scott
