I think eXdbm is unsuccessful in some way. (Although it got no error!?!)
Try removing the ~/.gpsim file and try again (if permissions are faulty or
the file is corrupted).

Still, this shouldn't happen. I'm on a holiday, so I can't debug this
further. You could try running gpsim from gdb and look at (or with which,
file a bug) the backtrace.

That should be gpsim -s /ddos/hex/decequals.cod.
