On this, two apologies are needed

1. That message got off before I had cut the typos out of it. I was working
with the .cod files, even though I wrote something else and failed to remove
it. I did try one .asm file.

2. It's solved - It' doesn't appear to be a gpsim bug but an old kde/icewm
bug. The manner of the exit evidently caused a spurious write; I attempted
the m$ solution (delete & reinstall), and it worked. Untarring the source,
and doing the usual.

./configure &&
make &&
make install

gave me a brand new working version. I started with a 24 clock, which has
simulated 28 hours successfully. I don't want to share the code with anyone -
It's terrible and I'm ashamed :-/. But it's a beginning.

How do I fine tune this thing? Set the configuration word, WDT, timers,
crystal etc? It's a bit like the Oracle at Delphi.
