Byron, perhaps you can shed some light on this.

I have a Newfound Electronics Warp-13a, with which I'm quite happy. The
problem is that I use a Mac for all my work (which is why I need a
serial-port programmer), and I don't have any programming software for the
Mac. Currently, I develop my .hex files on the Mac and then copy them to a
PC laptop that I borrow from someone else, then use the Warp software to
program my PICs.

I found a tm4 program for Linux, which doesn't compile under Mac OS X, but
I've been using it to write my own downloader. However, other Mac OS X
issues have kept me from finishing that.

One question I have is, what is a Tait-style programmer? Is that a parallel
port programmer made by David Tate?

Do you have any suggestions for things that will help me get my programming
done from a Mac OS X machine?

Thanks!
