Gdk-WARNING **: Missing charsets in FontSet creation

Gdk-WARNING **: ISO8859-15

Gdk-WARNING **: ISO8859-15

and a "Font did not load" window with 'open font dialog' or 'try defaults'. I
should say that this Mandrake system is inherently nobbled and unable to give
me iso-8859-15 for reasons unknown. What works for all others breaks here.
Mandrake's answer is to upgrade.

It seems to run through the program, but this instruction wasn't done. I'm
sure it was a consequence of me altering the value of 0x56 manually

Maybe someday when I have a clue what I'm talking about. I do try by
reporting in detail, so guys like you will know what a newbie (or noenewbie
in this case) trips over

From which I gather there is a .gpsim file. Another secret uncovered! This
has been a good day after all :-D.

LFS is very clean, using latest versions. Mandrake can be a bitch; they twist
so much for their twisted scripts, and bundle crazy stuff originally from Red
Hat, which no longer applies. Trying to figure what they do to start X would
leave you in a home for the bewildered. I'd reccomend lfs - if only as a good
check of what you actually need.

I have to install cvs first. I tell you what I will try - hacking that file
by hand. Time is precious - I'm under pressure for finished boards &
software, and have to program a plc for another project at the same time. I
also have a family, and a responsibibilities in my religion dragging at my
time.
