I didn't hear any real objections so I have attached the xml extract
from my spreadsheet (read with excel). The data is taken from the page:
http://www.ccsinfo.com/compare.html

I am interested in other's experiences with any/all of the commercial
compilers.

Cheers
David

Microchip has a full blown compiler demo for the 18 series devices. I
think it times out after 30 or 60 days. It's very nice, but the
documentation is a little limited. They give the source for all the
libraries though, which is pretty handy when reading the docs. <grin>

Also take a look at SDCC. It has alpha/beta support for the 16 and 18
devices. I have a friend adding the 18f support into the compiler, and
it's coming along pretty well. It's not quite ready for mission critical
apps yet though.

These are your 'free' choices.
