Just post a link please next time.
And turned off the receipt requests please. It is rather stupid to
request them when sending to an email list.
Why post commerical compiler comparisons to a gnu/linux email list ?
Wouldn't the piclist be better for this sort of question unless of course
your
trolling ?
Couple of compilers for you to have a look at
as you seem to be looking at commercial pic c compilers:
lower cost
C2C and Whiz-C
C2C.
www.picant.com
http://www.picant.com/c2c/c.html
I use the C compiler, it works fine.
Haven't tried the C++ compiler yet and
there is also a pascal version.
Costs US$40
Gives similar featurers to CCS
Another I use is FED Whiz-C
http://www.fored.co.uk/pixie.HTM
http://www.fored.co.uk/Eindex.htm
standard version US$80
professional US$ (whatever 100 UK pounds converts to)
Both have demo versions which can be downloaded freely.
Well if your looking at compiler writers comparisons of other compilers
http://www.picant.com/c2c/ccs.html comparison of c2c with ccs

For an interesting comment on embedded tools find the thread on "8051 with
debugging support"
in news:comp.arch.embedded especially the posts by
Lewin Edwards and Jonathon Kirwan
a quick snipped quote
"Simply throwing money at expensive tools is no way of getting work
done quickly and efficiently. Understanding what you're about to buy
(or download for free) and learning how to exploit it fully is much
more useful. Skimping THAT is a false economy, I grant you. Frugality
is a virtue, not a vice as you make out. It's a double virtue in that
it forces you to make much more accurate forecasts about the net
profit in buying a tool at a given price."
