Greetings to all.
We are building a PIC programmer using a circuit we found on the
net. To burn our test programs onto the flash we havebeen using
David Tait's 'pp' program. Unfortunately, it gives us an error
whenever we want to write our test program (blinking LEDs) onto
the flash.
The program gives an error while verifying. The sequence is as
follows....
#./pp testprog.hex
Programming hardware detected OK
PIC16F84 Programmer Ver 0.5 Copyright.......
Insert PIC ... press any key to continue ( ^C to abort )
Programming ....
pp : 0000: read 3FFF, wanted 2813
pp : Verify failed during programming

Incidentally, I have used 16f84a,16f876,16f877 for programming.
All give the same result.
