I tried the latest in CVS on another linux box and found that the stuff in
input.cc that I #if 0 /#endif removed is in fact necessary for the older
readline library. I've just committed this change to CVS. (It doesn't matter if
it's there or not for the new version of the readline library.)

You may not be getting the gpsim.m4 macro in your autoconf. If you run configure
and get the error that wi_LIB_READLINE is not found, then you'll need to do
this:


aclocal -I .
autoconf
automake
./configure

The aclocal command rebuilds the aclocal.m4 file which is used by autoconf and
configure.
