Hi Daryl,

This is not a silly question. The gtk+extra package for supporting 
gtk+-2.0 is in gtkextra's CVS repository as Alain says, but that version 
is broken. You'll want to grab either:

   http://www.dattalo.com/gnupic/gtk+extra-1.1.0.tar.gz

Or go to the gpsimWin32 page and grab it from there:

   http://gpsim.sourceforge.net/gpsimWin32/gpsimWin32.html

BTW, the next version of gpsim's gui will not depend on gtkextra.
