It's never a bad idea to learn new things.  I've been programming in C,
assembly (you name the processor, uhh, but not x86), fortran, a half
dozen other crazy languages, but I had never had need of C++ until now.

So much so that the F628 isn't even the current part, the A has replaced
it for new designs and had passed it for price, as well.  The A version
is still a great part.  If you need a middle size of program space,
a good chunk of RAM, some EEPROM, and serial, you're good with a F628.
There are newer chips, but this one still sits at a sweet spot.

Once Scott gets his current redesign, I'll probably look into that,
but now seems to be a bad time.
