I don't mean to push!  I've very happy with the work you have done!  And,
yes, I will *not* miss that extra dependency.  Honestly, I dreaded new
releases of gpsim because it ment tracking down a bunch of dependencies
and configuring packages I normally don't keep around.  I was about to
write a script to do all of the work. :)
