It's good that you managed to narrow this down to something specific. But
again, in general you're going to get much better support on the SDCC
mailing list than you will on the gnupic mailing list. However, it looks
like your casting a constant to a pointer and SDCC doesn't like that. I
agree that SDCC shouldn't crash the way it is, but there is a better way
to do this. I'd suggest looking at the PIC include files and see how they
varaiables to specific addresses. Since I don't use SDCC and haven't for 2
years now, I'm not sure how it's currently done.
