There have been some questions about the gpal development status I
discussed in the gputils-0.13.0 announcement.

The status of each tool can be determined by adding the -v or --version
argument to the command line. That will return the version of the tool
and its status. Each tool in gputils has its own status.

I use the five categories that Sourceforge lists in their Trove:
Planning, Pre-Alpha, Alpha, Beta, and Stable. There could be some
discussion about the exact definition of each of these categories, but
that really isn't necessary.

gpasm is beta. gpal is pre-alpha. Everything else is alpha. Unless
you want to contribute to gpal development, I don't recommend that
anyone use gpal until I declare it to be alpha.
