And the source has been edited.

In CVS you'll find an unglorified hack that places general purpose 
registers in the slots for the analog registers. This means that your 
firmware can write to these registers (and not cause the break) but you 
won't have the functionality of an A2D peripheral. Hopefully this 
compromised solution can keep you going.
