Thanks a million for that. Nice to have a hello, world finally working 
in gpsim - my first 18f prog.

Another issue - I've disabled the wdt in my program. Raw hex record
containing this appears below:

   :0E00000000220F0E000181000FC00FE00F4024

However, when I load the image in gpsim, it sets the wdt.

Is there any way I can either get gpsim to obey the wdt setting in the 
image, or manually turn off the wdt?
