I agree. However, what would be even cooler is if someone would get
gpsim fully working with the parts it already supports (like the
16f628)! 

But seriously, getting the basic dsPIC core functioning would be
straight forward (by this, I mean the data and program memory maps and
the instruction set). What's a little more difficult is interfacing to
the gcc tool chain. gpsim currently doesn't support this.
