Apologies if this is not a good place to announce this - I couldn't
think of anywhere better!
The Open Weather Project http://www.catnip.co.uk/wx/ has released a
pre-alpha version of the code for a weather monitoring card.

The card is based on a PIC 16F877 and relays weather sensor readings
to a host computer via a serial link.
The comms are working with the temperature and wind direction modules
- other modules to be added.
A GTK based program to display the information and forward it to other
software will be released shortly.
The Open Weather Project uses the Gputils and gEDA toolsets.
