This has been fixed in gpsim's CVS.
At issue here is the gtkextra API change between the old version and the
just-released version. The unofficial gtkextra that gpsim has been using
didn't have this issue because somebody (Borut, I think) fixed this
problem on the gtkextra side. Now that Adrian has resurfaced to maintain
gtkextra, the gpsim project will gradually ween itself off the unofficial
gtkextra (and off gtk 1.x too).
I should point out however, that even after fixing the GtkPlot/GtkPlotAxis
issues in gpsim I was unable to successfully link against gtkextra. I'm
not sure exactly what happened, but it appears that gtkextra had linked
against one set of libraries and gpsim against another set of the same
name but different versions. e.g. there are two versions of pthreads on my
64-bit/FC3 system; one in /usr/lib and the other in /usr/lib64. It appears
that gtkextra may be expecting to link against the one in /usr/lib while
gpsim with the one in /usr/lib64.
