Have you tried ? .udata is the default name given to udata sections by
the assembler, it's not the name I gave to the udata section !

As you can see I've "fixed" the problem. I had a look at the
differences between the 870 and 877 .lkr files and took a guess at what
was missing from the 870 version
I've just looked in the MPASM manual and I see there is a section on
linker scripts so I'll go and read that now and then I'll understand
what I'm doing LOL
