Picp supports serial and USB interfaces to programmers using the PicStart 
Plus protocol. Parallel port programmers are a different animal altogether. I 
believe there are Linux programs to interface to at least some of the 
parallel port programmers that are available, but those programmers are 
beyond the scope of picp.
