I think there is a difference between the gtk+-2.0 and
gtkextra 2.0. Debian or Ubuntu does not have the 2.0 package
of libgtkextra yet (being packaged now according to Ubuntu
website, should be out soon though). Anyway I will try without
the --enable-gtk1 option as well since I have already built
libgtkextra 2 from the latest Sourceforge tar ball.
With the reply from Borut Razem, I will try to build the
CVS version of gpsim and report the progress here.

I'm curious why you need the "--enable-gtk1" option when the Ubuntu web
site says "Ubuntu 5.04 includes the 2.10 release of the GNOME desktop."
If this is right, then you should be using gtk+-2.0 .
