Despite the error message I think the binary is correctly
dumped to the 18F4550. Maybe it is a false alarm.
By the way, I have ported it to Windows using mingw and
libusb-win32. For those who are interested (maybe not so
many in this list), please download the Win32 port at

I am now trying to get PIC FS USB demo board working under Linux and
I have been playing with the Linux usb bootloader fsusb-0.1.11 from
http://internetking.org/fsusb/.
I even want to port it to Windows using libusb-win32 (still not
successful yet).
However I just find out out that it is actually not working on my
Ubuntu box. What could be the problem? usb_pickit is working for
PICkit 1.
