I suppose there are exceptions to every rule, but IMHO using OOP with a 
microcontroller is overkill, somewhat like using a machete to trim your 
toenails.

OO code tends to be bloated and slow compared to C or assembly. Some embedded 
systems can tolerate it, but most can't.
