Thanks David - and it's getting better (at least under the hood). The
regression tests have just been updated to take advantage of some of the
new features (like embedded simulation scripts, assertions, complex break
points, invocation #defines). In addition I've finished the first round of
the I/O port re-design and am now working on the 'second round'. The
second round involves the interface between I/O pins and peripherals. Some
of the old code  like A2D support, usart support, PWM support, is
temporarily inhibited (and in some instances unstable), but this is the
area that will be addressed next.
