One potential problem, maybe it is not related to your code but the Linux
HID driver and hot-plugging system. Once I unplug the PICDEM FS USB
demo board, the last character (one of the characters in FOOBAR) will sometimes
continue to be scroll though the screen. I have to hit ctrl-c to stop
the scrolling of
the last character. The other thing I notice is that the 4 LEDs are in different
state under Linux and Windows. Pretty strange.

An example when I plug and unplug the PICDEM FS USB with your keyboard
hex file. This is actually happening when I am typing, in this Firefox window.
It also happens in other window which gets the focus.
