PIClist's famous Olin sells one called QuickProto.

Disclaimer: I am not associated with Olin's company. ;-)

There are some companies selling something similar
to Microchip's PICDEM2+ at lower cost than Microchip.
It is a nice board as well.

Xiaofan

Hi,

Does anyone know of any company that supplies very basic and cheap PIC
boards, meeting requirements such as:

 - 28 pin or 40-pin DIP socket for PIC
 - on-board MAX232 or compatible, terminated to 9-pin DB connector for
   PC serial cable
 - minimal on-board passive components to support PIC, such as:
     - crystal or resonator, plus caps
     - reset circuit
 - header blocks for connecting to ports

Preferably a company where one can order online and which ships overseas?

Cheers
David
