Now you're running up against the compatibility issue with the Officially
released gtkextra and the unofficially released version. The 0.21.4
version of gpsim does not compile properly with the officially release
version of gtkextra (because it wasn't available at the time that
gpsim-0.21.4 was released)
My advice to you is to either a) wait a short while before I release the
next version of gpsim (probably less than 24 hours from the time stamp of
this message), b) use the unofficially released version of gtkextra (from
gpsim's web page), or c) check gpsim out from CVS.
