First report of pk2 under MacOS X. So pk2 is now
working on Linux/Windows/MacOS X.
Just wondering if any MacOS X user who have ported
pyk (Python based). It is said that the BITPIM libusb
Python wrapper is working under MacOS X. Therefore
I think pyk should also work under MacOS X in theory.

Subject: pk2 for Mac OSX
Benjamin Brooking has ported pk2 v1.34 and the original
usb_pickit to run on Mac OSX.
Zip files can be downloaded from his web site at
http://www.1710.co.uk/picosx.
Thanks Benjamin!

Subject: Pickit 2 under MacOS X and other platform
Microchip has done a MacOS X port of PICkit 1 application
for MacOS X. It is not using libusb but using the Mac OS
X APIs. Theoretically this could be port to Mac OS X
pretty fast as well but they have not done it.
Orion's usb_pickit (for PICKit 1) works under Mac OS X as
well. It is using libusb. I guess Mark's pyk and Jeff's pk2
should work under Mac OS X as well since both are
based on libusb as well. Both applications now work
under Linux and Windows.
The developers inside Microchip also hack the original
usb_pickit code (by Orion) to work on a Zarus Linux PDA
with USB host function.
There is no libusb-win32 for Pocket PC platform yet.
Just wondering if any Mac OS X users also interested
in getting PICkit 2 working under Mac.

Xiaofan
