You haven't tried the RPM yet! Unfortunately I forgot that there's a bug
in the gpsim.spec file preventing RPM's being built on my x86_64 Athlon.
All of my x86 boxen are retired, but when I get to work tomorrow I'll
build an RPM so that you can try it out.
