I've been able to use both EZload from here:

http://blog.paddlefish.net/archives/2004/12/usb_pickit_tool.html

and the Mac OS X PicKit software from here:

http://www.microchip.com/stellent/idcplg?IdcService=SS_GET_PAGE&nodeId=1960

to program chips in my Pickit I. Both act kind of odd and may report
seemingly bogus errors, but they do work.

I'm running 10.4.3 on a Early G5 iMac.
