I have been writing a python client for the TinyPic Bootloader, that can be used under Linux (it should work under windows too). It is not as complete as the TinyPic windows version, it just lets you write the program memory. It has been tested with the PIC16F877A, and the PIC18F452. It is not useful yet for the DSPIC family.
