Hi
I just got a pickit2 programmer, and grabbed pk2-1.36.tar.gz to try and
get it all working.
It appears to work on a ubuntu box here (breezy)
but is very unhappy on an amd64 running fedora core 4.
[root@wattle pk2-1.36]# ./pk2 --firmware
PK2 version 1.36 - 2006/03/17
./pk2 --firmware
Locating USB Microchip PICkit2 (vendor 0x04d8/product 0x0033)
Found USB PICkit as device '010' on USB bus 001, devnum 10
removing driver module: rmmod usbhid
send_usb() PICkit write : Device or resource busy
Fatal error> send_usb() PICkit USB write failed
A little bit of debugging shows that the code is trying to unload the
driver (usbhid) previously claiming the board, and that fails. Seems
usbhid is not a module in fc4 kernel 2.6.15.
Has this been solved before?
regards, John
