I've also got the hotplug script to work so that I can run
pk2/pyk/piklab as normal
user.
mcuee@ubuntu504:/etc/hotplug/usb$ uname -a
Linux ubuntu504 2.6.10-5-amd64-generic #1 Tue Apr 5 12:21:57 UTC 2005
x86_64 GNU/Linux
mcuee@ubuntu504:/etc/hotplug/usb$ ls -la pickit*
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 247 2006-03-26 11:30 pickit
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 6 2006-03-26 11:30 pickit2 -> pickit
mcuee@ubuntu504:/etc/hotplug/usb$ cat pickit
#!/bin/bash
if [ "${ACTION}" = "add" ] && [ -f "${DEVICE}" ]
then
echo "changing ${DEVICE}" >> /tmp/debug-hotplug
chown root "${DEVICE}"
chgrp pickit "${DEVICE}"
chmod 660 "${DEVICE}"
fi
mcuee@ubuntu504:/etc/hotplug/usb$ cat ../usb.usermap
pickit 0x0003 0x04d8 0x0032 0x0000 0x0000 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00
0x00 0x00000000
pickit2 0x0003 0x04d8 0x0033 0x0000 0x0000 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00
0x00 0x00000000
Interestingly, if I only run pk2, then I do not have the problem to claim the
PICkit 2. However if I run piklab-prog, then I will have probelm when I first
run pk2. The second time will be okay.
