Hi group,
I note that icprog seems to work with my Olimex serial programmer PG2,
whereas picprog doesn't "see" the chip. So to test I tried to install gpsim
on the linux side. Trying (ubuntu) apt-get install and using dpkg -i with
the the .deb file resulted in dependancy issues, so far unresolved. So I
downloaded the gpsim and gtk+ tarballs from sourcforge and unpacked them.
I haven't tried configging gpsim just yet but this is what I got from
./configure gtk+extra-2.1.1:
checking for inline... inline
checking for pkg-config... /usr/bin/pkg-config
checking for gtk+-2.0 >= 2.0.0... Package gtk+-2.0 was not found in the
pkg-config search path. Perhaps you should add the directory containing
`gtk+-2.0.pc' to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable No package 'gtk+-
2.0' found
configure: error: Library requirements (gtk+-2.0 >= 2.0.0) not met; consider
adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if your libraries are in
a nonstandard prefix so pkg-config can find them.
So then I came across this:
http://www.linuxhacker.org/cgi-bin/ezmlm-cgi?1:mss:3641:200412:lecfjpaammlnkeekfboj
Am guessing that I was meant to copy gtkextra-2.0.pc.in (what's the .in
for?)to /usr/lib/pkgconfig/gtkextra-2.0.pc and then export the proper
PKG_CONFIG_PATH and all would be rosy. No such luck. Same error, same place.
Somebody suggest a resolution?
