I had good results using Microchips fixed point AN617, and floating 
point AN575 math libraries. You may also be interested in the floating 
point to ascii conversion AN670. I used portions of all three for a lcd 
frequency meter display and was very impressed with the results. I'm not 
familiar with the PIC16F630, but the math routines used about 1k of 
program memory.
