I'm a bit confused. Are you talking about the current development
version? I don't get this for version 0.21.11

Since I want to support a released version of gpsim (I am the author
of piklab that now supports gpsim), I would like to know if there is a
way to write a register with version 0.21.11

I'm aware of that. I am actually accessing PORTD as 0xF83:
**gpsim> x 0xF83
$83
attempt read from invalid file register
    address 0xf83
invalid fr 0xf83[f83]= 0 = 0b00000000

Maybe that is fixed in the development version...

Nicolas
