Hello group,
gtkextra-2.0 was unpacked in HOME and installed as root to
/usr/local/gtkextra-2.0/gtk/extra/, and the libraries went to
/usr/local/lib/.
gtkextra-config returns "no such..." errors as user and root.
heathen@localhost ~/gpsim-0.22.0-RC3 $ ./configure

Questions:
How do I tell gpsim where to look for gtk? /usr/bin/pkg-config is
undecipherable.
Or, do I re&re gtk somewhere else?
gpsim docs call for the exdbm library. Where do I get it?
Or is it part of the gpsim setup?
heathen@localhost ~ $ slocate exdbm
/home/heathen/gpsim-0.22.0-RC3/gui/settings_exdbm.cc
/home/heathen/gpsim-0.22.0-RC3/gui/settings_exdbm.h
/home/heathen/gpsim-0.21.11/gui/settings_exdbm.cc
/home/heathen/gpsim-0.21.11/gui/settings_exdbm.h
gpsim docs call for gtk+-extra. Is this part of gtkextra-2.0? The docs imply
that it isn't. slocate can't find that string.
FWIW this is on a gentoo box(Linux localhost 2.6.16-gentoo-r3 #7 PREEMPT Tue
Oct 10 17:01:11 MDT 2006 i686 AMD Sempron(tm) Processor 3100+ GNU/Linux)
Using portage to install my pic stuff(gpsim, pikdev) also leads to problems
so I'm trying the tarball route.
Is it KDE(3.5.2)?
