I'm happy to post that I was able to compile gpsim_0.22.0 with Mandriva
2007 free dvd release without much trouble.
Seven devel. rpms needed to be downloaded from a Mandriva mirror, and
gtkextra-2.0.pc had to be copied to /usr/lib/pkgconfig after installation.
After getting what looked like readline related errors, I ended up
rebooting and runinng configure & make all without any problem.
I'm thinking that the reboot probably wasn't necessary. I had been
installing libraries as the compilation failed, and maybe just running
configure again or something like ldconfig? would have worked as well.
