Hi,
I'm developing a linux parallel port programmer for PICs.
It is based on picprg, by Brian Lane, but with a lot of new things. It was rewritten so it could be used to program as many devices as possible (filling a template text file).
It's still in development stage. By now, it has been reported to read pic16f84 program memory (not data memory yet), and pic17c756a.
If there's anyone interested in testing it, it is hosted at sourceforge (http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/picprg).
It has'nt a web page yet, but there's a .tar.gz file you can download.

If you try it, please let me know what happens...

Thanks

Carlos
