I wasn't offended! I'm well aware of gpsim's many short comings, and
over time I attempt to address them. The only point I was trying to make
here is that my talent lies more in optimization; and in the case of
gpsim that means making the simulator fast. I have less talent on the
usability side. I'm like most people in this regard, I know when the
usability is bad and have a difficult time in making it better. I
suspect those who know how to design good interfaces may be less adept
at making fast simulators. That's why I suggested that the various PIC
tools projects combine forces. Hopefully there would be enough overlap
in talent to cover most everything.

I was going off of the top of my head, but yes I meant PikLab and I had
forgotten about PikDev. And as you may have seen in another thread,
there are comparisons being discussed about PikLab and PikDev.

I haven't recently considered combining gpsim with say ngspice or
gnucap. I suspect Proteus uses the Berkeley SPICE source and modifies it
for its own needs. I see no reason why gpsim couldn't do the same thing.
