It seems that sdcc's method of naming the version is better than gpsim
as if also shows the SVN version name.
[mcuee@localhost ~]$ sdcc -v
SDCC : mcs51/gbz80/z80/avr/ds390/pic16/pic14/TININative/xa51/ds400/hc08
2.7.4 #4939 (Oct 27 2007) (UNIX)
[mcuee@localhost ~]$ gpsim -v
gpsim - the GNUPIC simulator
version: Release 0.23.0
BTW, I do not think I am running the release version but rather the
previous svn version.
